General Submission Guidelines: Send us your best work. All work must be original and previously unpublished. Please include a brief bio (written in the third person) with your submission.
Response time to submissions varies depending on the volume of entries received. However, if you do not hear from us within 8 weeks of your submission, please feel free to send us a query by email to submissions@tlpublishing.org. We will accept simultaneous submissions. However, if your work is accepted elsewhere, please let us know as soon as possible. TL Publishing Group acquires one-time electronic and print publication rights. All rights revert to the author upon publication.
Contributors who are published in the Ink of Genesis Literary Journal l will receive one hard copy of the publication in which their work appears. Contributors will also receive a free digital subscription to the journal.
Keep in mind that submitting to the Torrid Literature Journal implies an interest in the publication, and anyone who submits will be added to our mailing list. You'll receive occasional updates about new content, breaking news, and calls for submissions. We will never buy, sell, trade, or share your information with anyone. You may opt out of our mailing list at any time.
Cover Art Submission Guidelines
Ink of Genesis Literary Journal is currently accepting submissions for original cover artwork.
We are seeking visually compelling pieces that align with the journal's tone and themes. Artwork should be suitable for print reproduction and adaptable to a full-cover format.
General Guidelines
- Submissions must be original and unpublished (not previously published in print or online).
- We accept paintings, illustrations, and photography.
- Artwork should be suitable for a literary audience and reproduce well in print.
Technical Requirements
- Cover dimensions: 8.75" x 11.5" (full bleed)
- Final trim size: 8.5" x 11"
- Accepted artwork may be cropped or adjusted slightly to meet layout requirements.
- Covers are printed in full color, full bleed.
- High-resolution files (300 DPI) will be required upon acceptance.
- Low-resolution images are acceptable for initial submission.
Design Considerations
Our cover will include the following elements:
- Journal title (Ink of Genesis Literary Journal)
- Issue subtitle/theme
- Volume and issue number
Artwork should allow space for these elements.
Submission Details
- Artists may submit up to five (5) images per submission
- File types accepted: JPEG or PNG
- Files may be uploaded individually or as a single file
Simultaneous submissions are allowed. Please notify us immediately if your work is accepted elsewhere.
Compensation & Rights
Selected cover artists will receive:
- Two complimentary copies of the issue
- Name on cover
- Interior credit page with full artist bio
- Website mention
Artists retain full rights to their work. Ink of Genesis Literary Journal requests one-time use rights for print and promotional purposes related to the issue.

Articles:
TL Publishing Group will consider articles for publication in the Ink of Genesis Literary Journal. The recommended length is 1,000 words or less, but submissions of any length will be considered.
Articles may be informative, opinionated, or inspirational. We will consider various topics, including poetry, fiction, general literature, publishing, editing, the latest trends in the literary industry, etc, but in any event, the article must provide material useful to the reader in his/her own practice of literature. For informative articles, the writer should have preferable experience in the field he/she is writing on. Also, if you quote various sources in your article, please make sure you acquire permission and include it with your submission. Please include proper citations as necessary.
Articles should be original and unpublished. Simultaneous submissions are allowed, but please notify us immediately if your submissions are accepted elsewhere.
Please be sure to include a brief bio and publishing credits, if any.
Given the volume of submissions received, please allow 8 weeks to pass before submitting a query regarding the status of your article.
If your article is accepted, we will send you an acceptance letter requesting agreement to our standard terms. Failure to respond in a timely manner may delay the publishing of your article.
Interviews:
To submit an interview request, please send us your bio, publication credits, and any other relevant information. Space for interviews is limited and is handled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Book Reviews:
TL Publishing Group will consider book reviews for publication in the Ink of Genesis Literary Journal. The recommended length is 1,000 words or less, but submissions of any length will be considered.

We seek thought-provoking poetry across all genres that substantially burn mental, emotional, and societal barriers.
